About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and creative Director of Marketing & Commercial to lead the growth of The Grid’s hotel and club network across consumer, B2B, and wholesale channels. This role is ideal for a marketing and commercial leader with deep hospitality experience and a passion for building iconic, community-driven brands. You’ll be responsible for driving occupancy, memberships, and revenue through integrated campaigns, corporate partnerships, group bookings, and distribution networks—while positioning The Grid as the go-to destination for the global professional class.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Experience

  1. Develop and execute a holistic marketing and commercial strategy across all Grid properties and membership hubs
  2. Lead digital and brand marketing efforts, including performance marketing, CRM, content, and experiential campaigns
  3. Oversee B2B and wholesale growth strategies, managing relationships with travel agencies, group booking platforms, corporate travel programs, and strategic partners
  4. Drive corporate partnerships and group sales—including offsite bookings, private events, and long-stay offerings
  5. Collaborate with product, hospitality, and brand teams to align storytelling, guest experience, and commercial objectives
  6. Launch new locations with tailored go-to-market plans and localized B2B strategies
  7. Monitor key performance metrics (occupancy, ADR, CAC, ROI, etc.) and manage budgets and forecasts across all marketing and commercial activities
  8. Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team across brand, digital, and sales

Nice to Have

  1. Familiarity with GDS, OTAs, corporate travel tools, and hospitality tech platforms (PMS, CRM, etc.)
  2. Experience working with membership clubs, lifestyle hotels, or hybrid hospitality/workspaces
  3. Global market experience and multilingual fluency a plus

Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of experience in marketing, commercial strategy, or business development within hospitality, lifestyle, or membership-driven brands
  2. Proven success in building B2C campaigns while developing B2B and wholesale travel partnerships
  3. Strong knowledge of hospitality sales cycles, booking platforms, and corporate travel networks
  4. Passion for culture, design, innovation, and curating elevated guest/member experiences
  5. Experience launching or scaling hotel or club brands across multiple markets
  6. Confident communicator and relationship builder, comfortable leading negotiations and high-level partnerships
  7. Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and strategic skills
