TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Taxes and Additional Charges Local citizens may be required to pay additional taxes, service fees, or other regulatory charges. IMPORTANT INFORMATION The national sales tax (19% as of January 1, 2017) is charged at check-in to citizens of Colombia, regardless of the length of their stay, and to foreigners staying 60 consecutive days or more. The tax is applied per room, and when the room is shared, the charge is per guest. The tax also applies to all travelers who are not classified as tourists visiting the country for other reasons.
CANCELLATION POLICY
FLEXIBLE RESERVATIONS 72 HOURS: Free cancellation or modification until 6:00 PM (local time) three days (72 hours) before your arrival. If you cancel or modify after this period, or in case of no-show, one night plus taxes will be charged.
FLEXIBLE 7 DAYS: Free cancellation or modification until 6:00 PM (local time) seven days before your arrival. If you cancel or modify after this time, or in case of no-show, one night plus tax will be charged.
NON-REFUNDABLE: The total amount of the stay is paid in advance by credit card at the time of booking. Non-refundable reservations are those made through early booking promotions, minimum stay requirements or other types. Please note that non-refundable reservations require full payment to secure the reservation. Payment will be processed and debited from the authorized credit card. If the card is declined at the time of payment, the reservation may be cancelled. AGE JURISDICTION Young and adventurous? Please remember one important detail: The minimum age allowed to stay in shared dormitories is 18 years old. In private rooms, guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a family member or guardian (verifiable at check-in). We want to make sure they are safe and healthy.
LOCAL TAXES Guests may be required to pay additional local taxes or other regulatory fees at check-in. Check, check and check again!
OTHER GENERAL CONDITIONS
Smoking: Not allowed. A $300.00 penalty will be charged to guests who do not comply with the rules. It's not worth it!
Coolers: These are not allowed in our Socialtel locations.
Food and Drink: Food purchased outside of our location cannot be consumed in the common areas.
Noise: In the guest room area, noise levels must be kept to a minimum after 11:00 PM.
Towels: There is a fee and deposit for the use of towels for guests staying in dormitories. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the towel, less the corresponding portion of the fee if applicable.
Key Storage: Guests staying in dormitories must pay a deposit for the use of keys, which will be refundable upon return at check-out.
Luggage: We offer luggage storage for a period of 24 hours at no additional charge. After 24 hours, a fee of $5 per day will be charged, subject to availability.
You can cancel your reservation free of charge within the first 4 hours after booking, regardless of the rate selected.
